Gordian III, AD 238-244. AE 28 (15.92g) minted at Nicopolis ad Istrum in Moesia Inferior. By the legate Sabinius Modestus. Laureate, draped, cuirassed bust right of Gordian III. Reverse: Serapis standing left, modius on head, right hand raised, holding transverse scepter in left. Varbanov 4224. Lovely dark green patina. Choice Very Fine.
